Medical Assistant - Full Time


We are looking for a Medical Assistant to work on a full-time basis (28-36 hours per week).

Our office uses electronic medical records.  Chart notes are collected in the exam rooms with IPads.  Other records and job duties will involve computers using multiple programs and internet websites.  Basic understanding of software programs and functions will be very helpful. 

Software packages we use daily:
AdvancedMD - scheduling/practice management
Modernizing Medicine EMA - patient charts
LabDaq - Lab ordering  

Here are the basics for this position:

  • You will be expected to present yourself in a polite, professional manner with all patients who contact and come to our practice.
  • Room patients and assist the provider with history intake, procedures, patient education, etc. 
  • Process various reports and contact patients with results.
  • Prepare biopsies and lab work for evaluation.
  • Maintains and keeps orderly the patient rooms.
  • Schedules appointments for patients by phone and in person.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Practice Manager.
  • There are some fringe benefits associated with this position.  We do not offer health insurance.  
Education requirements:  Certified Medical Assistant.  Certification must be current.  If you do not have certification, your application will not be considered. 
Starting wage for this position is $10 per hour.  After a successful 90-day probation period, the wage will be increased to $10.50 per hour.  A higher starting wage may be considered depending on experience.  A background check is performed on employees during the probation period.
