Skin Cancer Awareness Month

Thank you for your interest in
Skin Cancer Awareness Month

The month of May has been designated as Skin Cancer Awareness Month by the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD).  This is the month that the academy and its members seek to educate the public about skin cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

Our office is hosting a free skin cancer screening on
May 1, 2010.

A screening is a very quick physical exam of suspicious lesions.  No treatment is provided and very little discussion is to be expected.  The screener will provide a written body map result report for you.  If you provide the name of your primary care physician, a report will also be sent to their office.  You determine the level of exam, from a spot on your forehead or hands to a full body examination.   The screening will be from 8:00 am - Noon.  Reservations are required and can be scheduled by calling 528-6653.  Please tell the reception staff that you wish to schedule for the screening.  Our website can provide a map or driving directions.
