What is GentleCure?
Image–Guided Superficial Radiation Therapy is a nonsurgical treatment that uses low levels of X–ray
energy to kill cancer cells and allow normal tissue to grow back in its place. For many people dealing

Desi Smith, BS, R.T. (R)(T)
Desi is originally from Idaho, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Idaho State University. She pursued further education in Radiologic Technology at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, where she discovered her passion for Radiation Therapy and supporting patients facing challenging cancer diagnoses. Continuing her academic journey, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy from Weber State University.
Desi has gained extensive experience in Radiation Therapy at various institutions, including roles in Georgia at ROS, Arkansas’s Carti Cancer Center, and Utah’s Huntsman Cancer Institute. Returning to her Idaho roots, she is dedicated to assisting patients with skin cancer.
