Krystal Ray is a Physician Assistant who graduated from Idaho State University. Krystal has lived in southeastern Idaho for the last 10 years. While she grew up near Seattle, Washington, she made countless trips to Idaho Falls to visit family and relatives, making Idaho Falls almost a second home. She is excited to return to the area to serve and live in the community that she visited throughout her childhood.
Krystal aspired to attend BYU-Idaho and graduated in 2017 with a Bachelors of Science in Human Biology. Discovering her love for physiology and anatomy during this time, she decided to pursue the path to becoming a Physician Assistant. During an internship, she was offered a job at a local dermatology office in Rexburg, Idaho. This was where her love of dermatology began to blossom. After working there for almost 2 years, she was accepted to the Idaho State University’s Physician Assistant program in 2020. Throughout her time in school, the confirmation to pursue dermatology as a career was “crystal” clear. She was asked to return to Mountain West Dermatology after an insightful and successful rotation to practice dermatology. She joined the team in 2022 and was trained personally by Dr. Hinkson. She is accredited by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) after completing her schooling and passing the Physician Assistant National Certifying Exam in 2022.
While Krystal enjoys practicing and learning about dermatology, she also loves dabbling in multiple other hobbies. She loves going on adventures with her husband and daughter as well as playing the piano, baking, crafts and playing pickleball. Her favorite downtime is reading a good book snuggled up with their cat, Mochi. Krystal has traveled to Ireland, Scotland, and also served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Cebu, Philippines which holds special meaning for her as her mother is a native Filipina.
Krystal looks forward to serving the Idaho Falls community, especially the female population, in her role as a provider. She is thrilled to become a part of the Mountain West Dermatology team!
